Several years ago, we acquired a box of old photos from a friend that did estate clean outs and he did one for a photography studio and they had all these old photos that were rejects, discards, duplicates all from around 1890's.
We tried to sell them, we tried to give them away and we even used the one or two that actually had names on the backs to try locate the relatives of these folks..no dice.... the few people we found actually didn't want them.
So we decided to paint them.
