Cats of May – The Kitten Who Slept Sitting Up

I had a little kitten once, and he used to crack me up. He’d play and play and PLAY as kittens do, then he’d be just sitting there trying to  decide what else to get into and he’d just fall asleep sitting there for a while.  Usually he fell over one way or the other.

  • Cats of May Series – Behold Stumpy the 3-Legged Cat Original Painting

Cats of May Series – Behold Stumpy the 3-Legged Cat Original Painting

The Cats of May is a series honoring great cats I’ve known and been owned by. Also the fantastic felines of friends who have been kind enough to tell me their stories and share photos of their great cats.

Today’s cat is STUMPY. Stumpy had an unfortunate encounter with a dog as a kitten and got his front left leg chewed up to the point the leg had to be removed. Along with losing a leg, Stumpy got adopted by my friend into his forever home. Having 3 legs didn’t slow him down one bit!

Size: 3.5 x 5.5 inches painted on a vintage postcard.
