  • The Complainer

Don’t you hate people that complain constantly?
I consider baseless complaining a huge sign of laziness.
I mean if you’re too hot or too cold, you take off or put on more clothes appropriately, you don’t stand around whining about it, at least I hope you don’t.
When someone complains, I ask them what their solution is.
Usually they have no answer which is a huge red flag that whoever was listening to the complaining (usually ME) was also expected to fix it.

Tallulah Bankhead had a great quote – “Never complain, never explain…”

😀 This complainer has an endlessly complaining mouth.
Eyes that see no solution you offer.

  • Obtuse

This piece isn’t about anyone in particular, it’s just a general statement – I detest obtuse people.
I mean life is too short to constantly explain things to someone that just doesn’t get it or continually says stupid stuff.
That’s why i drew her kinda simple looking, with a dull manner about her.
Even the letters of the word, “Obtuse” are frustrated and trying to get away from her.
    That’s why I love Ebay.
My collectors get my weird sense of humor and I love my friends for that too!
    😀

  • Girls Don’t Take Apart Trucks. Yes, We Do.

I found this sentence in a book for school counselors to discuss puberty with boys and girls and this particular paragraph was referring to how much easier girls are than boys to discuss this with – because girls don’t do butch things like take apart trucks – I beg to differ.
    😀

  • Brain Injury – What it Looks Like

My partner has a brain injury – now you’d never know it to look at him, he’s sharp as ever but sometimes just  sometimes his brain injury takes over and says the RUDEST things in order to get along with someone with a brain   injury you have to understand – it’s not them talking to you, it’s the brain injury.
Another cool aspect of brain injuries is they make the person that has completely uninterested in learning about their own condition – so it’s up to you.

I used to get really upset but then I started reading books about brain injuries, and realized what the issue was.

So I can’t keep doing the same thing expecting a different outcome so I now say, “Tell your brain injury it’s being a jerk and I am not talking to it”.
    And everything chills out 🙂
This is what I imagine that nasty little brain injury looks like:

He’s filled with rage and he’s got almost no ears so he can’t listen and you cannot reason with him.
He’s filled with molten venom and will say ANYTHING to be hateful and hurtful.
Fortunately I don’t see him too often anymore.
