The robots in this artwork are speaking Robot Interaction Language (ROILA). It is the first spoken language created specifically for talking to robots. ROILA is being developed by the Department of Industrial Design at the Eindhoven University of Technology.

Cat robots on wheels. What else is there to say? It’s cat robots on wheels! They’re made of metal, they’re fast, they like yarn and food. They yell at 3 AM every single night. I am fascinated by robots, AI, clones, that entire genre of science/invention.

My partner has a frontal lobe injury and he obsesses about the temperature – so I painted him a temperature robot that can take some of the stress off of worrying about the temperature for him. Also, I love robots.
