This was inspired by a rather annoying conversation I had with someone who was complaining he paid child support every month, he bought his kids video games, and clothes periodically throughout their lives and he got them something for Xmas every year, and his now grown kids didn’t have much to do with him.
And he doesn’t get it is the sad part.
He only contacted them 4-5 times a year and when he did often just an email.
Clearly they wanted a DAD in their lives not some “buy you what you want/need” father.
Hope he figures it out someday.
