VA means NO. This painting is personal. The VA is one of the most frustrating places you will ever deal with. My partner of many years has a traumatic brain injury he received as a marine – we tend to concentrate on the things he CAN do rather than have him be constantly frustrated with hurdles in his path from short term memory loss, 10% dementia and the inability to stay on track with convos and other awesome things TBI does. The VA did half-baked dental reconstruction after his in-service injury that led to his TBI and at the same time broke teeth. Now he needs more dental care and they won’t help him because he’s not considered 100% disabled even though he hasn’t had a job since 1997.
