    Okay! Let’s talk about the piece shall we?
    This piece is acrylics, gouache, ink, and watercolors painted directly on a vintage photo. I like to call them “improved photos.” This vintage photo is from around 1910 and is mounted on heavy watercolor paper.

  • I Can Adopt One More Cat 5 x 7

    This piece is about me and my never ending struggle to not bring in another cat adoption.

    I am a huge believer in adopt don’t shop and I like to adopt special needs cats. I’m at home painting most days, our life is calm, and I enjoy giving kitties a forever home.
    Since I am an artist – it can be tight financially, so I try to be very real about how much I can handle. But I still have a pang of guilt for not giving every single kitty or dog a home.
    I do try to sponsor adoptions when I have a good month.
    It’s a great way to help an animal get adopted – you pay part of even all of the fee so all someone has to do is provide a good home.

    All the cats in this painting have overbites because my black cat Noodle has an overbite and I think it makes her adorable.

    This was painted on a vintage children’s hymn book. And I was having a major love affair with American Horror Story “FreakShow” episodes. Two headed beings have always fascinated me, I find them strangely beautiful.

    So here you this is a 6 x 8 acrylic on vintage book page.

I like to call them “improved photos.” This vintage photo is from around 1920 and is mounted in a few layers of chipboard and heavy card stock. It came to me like this so I am unsure of when the mounting of the photo took place.

    This photo of the kids was very faded – the point I couldn’t see their faces or even make out features so they became cats. When life hand me faded children photos, I make cat portraits, or lemonade or something like that.
