I’ve done a couple of self portraits of my inner child – this one is the closest I think.
She holds a skull for my totally morbid sense of humor, her hair is every color mine has been, I always try to have some lipstick on, and of course I freakin’ LOVE to eat so she’s got a great bag of Inner Child Chow. Fuzzy bunny slippers are cuz i like my tootsies WARM.

So I had this vintage photo and her eyes had been scribbled out and her face penciled over with random lines – in short – someone didn’t like her. I thought since I don’t know the history and I thought she had really fierce eyes from what I could see, I would turn her into a forgotten goddess with fierce eyes and then she became an owl.

This is one of the first oil paintings I ever did. I was watching American Horror Story and got all inspired watching Dot and Bette. I wanted to paint a pair of conjoined twins. So this is my version.
With a friend’s permission, I’ll relate the story behind this artwork. I have a friend and her parents had a majorly unfriendly divorce. So unfriendly that her father finally took a job that took him allllll the way from NY to Alaska so he wouldn’t be coming around so much because the mother was so acrimonious about things.
